World Book Day

World Book Day
0 12 March 2018

On world book day in Miss Charlton’s class we were focusing on the story ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ by Oliver Jeffers. The reception children drew a picture to try and make the crayons happy while year 1 were designing their own crayons. In year 2 the children had to write a letter to persuade the crayons to come back to their owner. Year 3 created a piece of dialogue between the crayons and their owner and Year 4 wrote instructions on how to keep their crayons happy. We really enjoyed the day and had lots of fun with the story.

In year one, children dressed up as characters from stories to mark World Book Day. They celebrated their favourite book characters. We focused on the story, The Three Billy Goats Gruff’. We did lots of activities around this book. The children enjoyed being creative and adventurous!
