Our School Uniform

The following items form our everyday uniform for school:

  • White polo shirt or shirt
  • Jade jumper, cardigan or sweatshirt
  • Grey trousers, skirt or pinafore
  • Green (or jade if you can find it!) checked dress/playsuit or grey shorts for summer
  • Coordinating plain socks or tights
  • Plain black shoes without branding

Book bags are mandatory for everyone and can be purchased from the The School Uniform Shop (called Uniwears online).

We have asked the shop to primarily stock the messenger style bag as it is designed to be used as a school bag rather than needing a separate rucksack.

Reception children can opt for the smaller book bag, but only if you feel that they will be able to get all their things in it successfully as we have very limited space in the coats area and a separate rucksack will unfortunately not fit on their peg.

Please note that whilst we would prefer that everyone has the branded school uniform (and they’re not as expensive as you might think), we appreciate that these could be outside of some peoples’ budgets in which case a plain sweatshirt and polo shirt are acceptable.

Uniwears Schoolwear

Our uniform and book bags can be purchased from The School Uniform Shop (called Uniwears Schoolwear online), either online or at one of their shops in Harehills or Meanwood.

Items can also be purchased from regular school uniform sellers like supermarkets.

For PE we wear:

  • White polo shirt
  • Blue shorts
  • Appropriate footwear for inside/outside use

For winter, white polo shirts, blue jogging bottoms and a blue jumper.

Reception Forest School requirements:

All of our Reception children take part in Forest School activities. This means dirt, puddles, mud…and lots of fun exploring the outdoors. They all therefore need in school the following:

  • Wellies
  • A waterproof jacket
  • A waterproof bottoms – specifically the ones with the braces, bib and foot stirrups that go over their wellies

You can buy the above Forest School clothes in regular shops and online but if you’re struggling please speak to the School Office who can order them for you.

A note about coats…

When the weather requires, please always send your child to school with a coat. In the case of bad weather and if no coat has been brought to school that day, your child will not be able to join their friends outside at breaks.

Lost property

First and foremost it is crucial that you write your child’s name into their clothes. On most uniform items, there is a space for this on the washing instructions tag. This helps us to identify clothing left behind – and at the end of the school day when we’re tidying up, if there’s no name on a yellow t-shirt, they all pretty much look the same!

If you have lost something, please speak to the class teacher or teaching assistant in the first instance. The School Office can also help.
