On Monday 8th October, the children took part in a space day in line with World Space Week. The children carried out three different activities within their key stage. The activities varied from trying space food to making and testing out rockets! We were joined by a space engineer who worked with KS2 to look at what material would be best to make our space crafts. We also had some student in from York St John University who worked alongside the children.
In the afternoon we all become astronauts in training and carried out a variety of activities which year 5 ran for us and this led us all to receiving a certificate from Tim Peake and becoming space commanders!
