School Governors

We are on the lookout for governors who can help shape the future of Khalsa Science Academy. If you are interested in becoming a school governor for Khalsa Science Academy, please download the following application form and return it completed to the school.

Friends of KSA (FoKSA)

We have an enthusiastic group of parents, teachers, and friends of the school who meet regularly to organise ways to help further enrich the childrens time at Khalsa Science Academy. FoKSA has so far helped organise raffles, charity walks, and stalls in order to fundraise for the school. Anyone is welcome to join FoKSA, and if you are interested in attending a meeting please contact the school.

If you have any ideas that you would like to share with FoKSA, they will gladly look into any exciting opportunities to enhance the children’s journey at the school. To contact FoKSA please click here to email them.

National Governors Association

All members of the governing body are members of the National Governors’ Association. The National Governors’ Association aims to represent all school governors and trustees in England; of which there are over 300,000 governors/trustees, one of the largest volunteer groups in the UK. The NGA are an independent charity that aims to support and promote good governance in our schools; they do this through lobbying, via a range of contacts with ministers, policy makers and education organisations. They also run national conferences and a number of regional events.

The Khalsa Science Academy has close links with several science based institutions including the University of Leeds and local business enterprises. Through taking a leading role in the West Yorkshire STEM Network Primary Group we continue to develop and extend this network for the benefit of not only our own pupils, but also those in other schools across Leeds.
