It really is an unusual time for families to start planning for their child’s first steps into education. But, it’s also an exciting time as this year’s children will be the first to join us under our new name: Primley Wood Primary School!

To try and make things a bit easier for all of us, we’ve put together this and our FAQs page to help us to navigate joining a new school. We have also created some new starter welcome packs which we will send out to all our new starters. And, as we tell all of our families, please don’t worry about everything, we’ll get it all sorted together.

What to do to accept your place with us

If you are allocated a place in Reception at Primley Wood Primary, please email us at info@khalsascienceacademy.org.uk to accept. We will call everyone as soon as we can and get some new starter packs in the post to you all so that you can learn a bit more about us and the school family that you’re soon to be a part of.

If you are not allocated a place with us but would like to join us then pick up the phone, give us a call and we’ll see what we can do. You can reach us on 0113 887 3680 or info@khalsascienceacademy.org.uk

Welcome Pack

We will put a copy of the documents below in the post to all our new families, but you can access them here if you want to look at them sooner.

Meet and Greet

We would usually invite you all in to school for an informal chat, to meet the team and other children, have a look round etc. This year we can’t do that, or at least not yet. We will instead get our thinking caps on and come up with another way to reach out to you. One of our PTA is setting up a Facebook group and maybe we’ll all tackle a Zoom call together! Rest assured that we will endeavour to cover off all the usual things we do between now and the new academic year starting…it may just be in an unusual way.
